  • Energy Efficient

  • Efficient Shearing Action for Solids & Fibers

After years of research and evaluating performance in actual harsh throttling conditions and in applications requiring precise computer control, Worcester has developed a new control valve technology. The Series CPT advanced throttling control valve that exceeds the best performance features of globe and traditional segmented ball and eccentric plug rotary valves.

The Characterized Seat Control Valve is a ball valve, but there the similarity ends. The throttling part of the valve is based on a patented seat technology consisting of a standard sintered stainless steel seat, impregnated throughout with TFE or graphite, that is laser cut to provide state of the art modulating control. Combined with our high cycle pneumatic or electric actuators, positioners and accessories, you have a throttling control valve package that can match the performance possibilities of computers and PLC controllers.

Automation Packages For On/Off and Proportional Control

    Pneumatic/Electro-pneumatic
Worcester's Series 39 is an extremely powerful and reliable double piston pneumatic actuator. For more information, request bulletin PB-302.
For proportional control, positioners are offered for both single and doubleacting pneumatic or electropneumatic control. The featured positioner is PULSAIR, a loop powered, microprocessor controlled, zero air bleed positioner that can save up to $200 per year per valve in energy costs. Ask for bulletin PB-9OP.

    Electric/Electronic
Worcester's Series 75 electric actuator provides reliable on/off or modulated control. Four separate types of control board can be installed or retrofitted to the Series 75: the AF17 electronic positioner, the DFP17 digital positioner with onboard microprocessor, the HQ99 stand alone set-point controller, and the 1-75 power interface. For more information, request bulletin PB-730.

    MAStermind... Modular Accessory System

Masterminds Modular Accessory system features new loop-powered positioner with auto calibration and zero air bleed.
When we introduced the Modular Accessory System last year, we eliminated a lot of unnecessary cost by providing one enclosure for all valve controls. A major performance and reliability improvement over the traditional concept of individual enclosures, brackets, couplings, pneumatic and electric connections.
And now, we introduce the new looppowered, zero air bleed positioner as another step in cost saving and performance improvement. This new all electronic positioner, optionally available in intrinsically safe design, eliminates the constant air bleed and saves up to $200 per valve per year.
MAStermind is a trademark of Worcester Controls

The MAStermind Modular Accessory System is available with the following options:

  • Mechanical, proximity, intrinsically safe, hermetically sealed, limit switches

  • Low wattage solenoids: 6, 12, 24VDC, 120VAC or I.S. solenoids

  • Resistance, current or voltage feedbacks

  • Positioner

  • Setpoint Controller/Positioner

  • Heater/Thermostat

  • Dribblefeed

  • Mechanical Position Indicator
